In this New York Times guest op-ed, Fergus M. Bordewich argues that the notion of a "freedom quilt" containing a hidden map of the Underground Railroad is a myth. However, he doesn't present much evidence of that. Unfortunately, such a notion would be difficult to entirely disprove ... lack of evidence not really being the same as evidence to the contrary.
